Heart Broken, But Healing

Walking with God has revealed many profound truths to me. One such truth is that heartbreak is inevitable. Relationships—whether friendships, marriages, or otherwise—can unravel. You might attempt to “fix” things, only to realize that there's nothing to "fix." Sometimes, you simply outgrow those relationships. This doesn’t mean that some relationships can’t be mended over time. However, there are moments when you know the relationship has run its course, and it’s time to let go and focus on what God has planned for you.

Yes, your heart is broken, and it hurts deeply. But healing will come in time. You will shed many tears and question yourself, wondering if things could have turned out differently. However, dwelling on the past only postpones the truth: God is shaping you into something better. You’ve outgrown those relationships, and God is guiding them out of your life to create space for something greater.

Yes, it’s heartbreaking when relationships come to an end. No one wants to experience that kind of pain, but it’s a part of life. Even in those moments, God is with you. He sees your suffering and surrounds you with His comfort and love. He doesn’t expect you to heal quickly; He will give you all the time you need to move forward.

He says this: “Your heart will heal.” And it will. Your heart will heal. It won’t be easy, but it will heal. There will be good days and bad days. But your heart will heal.

In this time of grieving, you’ll come to realize something: the world keeps turning, people still care about you, and God’s love remains unwavering. You’ll see that while your heart may be broken, it will heal.

Psalms 34:18

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
